Charlie Lawrence won the individual title at the IAU 100 km World Championships 2026 in Ames, Spain. He moved into the lead shortly before the half-way point, then held off Aleksandr Sorokin, holder of the 100 km world record. Lawrence finished in 6:09:25, with Sorokin taking second in 6:12:41.
Alex Milne completes the podium with a bronze medal. His time was 6:17:50 on the Ames course, and his result continues the momentum from his win at the IAU 50 km World Championships 2025. For the Brit, it means world championship medals over two different ultra distances in two consecutive years.
On the women’s side, Courtney Olsen wins in Ames after making up the entire field. She crosses the line in 7:10:31, while Miho Nakata had been out front for around 75 km before being overtaken by Olsen on the 17th lap out of 20. Nakata finishes just behind in 7:11:57, with a 1:26 gap.
Lastly, Salomon announces a five-year partnership with IRONMAN. The brand becomes Global Premier Partner in 2027, with an agreement running until 2031, including exclusive rights for performance footwear, apparel and technical bags within the IRONMAN ecosystem. Salomon is planning a first activation at the IRONMAN World Championship in Kona, on 7–8 October 2026, ahead of the formal start of the partnership.
