Cadence Running United will take charge of the Half Marathon and the Marathon de Paris for the next four years, with the aim of evolving both events while keeping their popular feel. Anne Murac, managing director of the new structure, presents the first directions, particularly on the ballot draw, parity, the welcome for international runners and capacity.
For the 2027 edition, entries for the Half Marathon and the Marathon de Paris can be made from 8 September on the new event website. Both dates are set: the marathon on 4 April and the half marathon one month earlier, on 7 March.
Anne Murac explains that the organisation is based on a call for tenders reissued by the City of Paris every four years. The selection named the group Cadence Running United, coming from three companies brought together to meet the requirement to organise both the Half Marathon and the Marathon for the City of Paris.
Regarding the price, the marathon bib is listed at €169. Anne Murac links this amount to the need to balance the budget in order to deliver a major event that requires extensive infrastructure, security resources and technical support, while targeting a rate familiar to 2026 marathon runners.
On future pricing, the managing director says the priority is to maintain the accessibility of the races. Without prejudging the coming years, she says the ambition is not to increase significantly, with the idea of turning the day into a popular festival and finding the right balance.
Finally, on capacity, Anne Murac says she cannot communicate at this stage about a reduction, a decrease or maintaining it. She adds that the objective is to ensure a safe, high-quality experience and that the decision depends on work with local authorities for 60,000 participants.
