The Marathon du Mont-Saint-Michel makes its big return in 2027, scheduled for 20 and 21 March. The flagship race covers 42.195 km, with limited sales of 1,000 bib numbers. The organisers also state that the marathon was last held in 2019 and that it returns to the calendar after eight years away.

The event takes place over two days, with part of the running programme spread between Saturday 20 March and Sunday 21 March. The marathon is announced for 21 March, while the trail events take place on Saturday 20 March. All three fixtures culminate at the foot of the famous abbey.

As for the formats, several races are planned: a marathon whose course should repeat that of the previous editions, including in particular a start from Cancale to be confirmed, followed by a half marathon, a 10 km race and two trail events of around 40 km and 90 km. A children’s race is also included in the programme.

Registration opens from 13 October. For the 10 km and the half marathon, entry is described as straightforward and direct, subject to available places. For the marathon and the trail, each strictly limited to 1,000 runners, bibs are allocated via a ballot organised from 13 October to 3 November.
