The 13th edition of the European Skyrunning Championships, a biennial event, is announced in Azpeitia, in the Basque Country in Spain, from 6 to 8 May 2027, on the Domusa Teknik 40MLK venue.
The event will feature teams from several European countries competing for 27 medals and European titles, with three disciplines on the programme: VERTICAL, SKY and SKYULTRA.
The VERTICAL opens the weekend on Thursday 6 May, with the Domusa Teknik KB race starting in Azpeitia: 3.5 km, 800 m of positive elevation gain, and sections announced with a gradient that can reach 47%.
SKY and SKYULTRA are scheduled for Saturday 8 May, with the same start and finish in Azpeitia for both races, each backed by a dedicated Domusa Teknik course.
The women’s selection is mentioned, with the example of the Domusa Teknik 15MLK, which reserves 50% of places for female runners, within an inclusion and equality framework aimed at increasing women’s participation.
