Mekdes Woldu won this Sunday 11 October the 48th edition of the 20 km of Paris. The Frenchwoman thus triumphs in the event, after several appearances at the rendezvous, and confirms her ability to deliver on this Paris race.

Over the distance, Woldu posts a time of 1h04’37, along with a new personal best improved by two minutes. This performance puts her at the forefront among the best French long-distance specialists, in an edition where the event had been one of the missing targets on her résumé.

Her race strategy is part of a series of attempts: fourth in 2022 then second in 2023. In 2026, she beats Manon Trapp, who won the event in 2024 and finishes in 1h06’25’’, and Salomé Brun in 1h06’51, for a 100% French podium.

Among the men, the win goes to the Kenyan Daniel Tumaka Kosen, who clocks 57’11’’. He beats the Frenchman Emmanuel Roudolff-Lévisse, second in 57’45’’ for the second consecutive year, and the Algerian Abderrazak Charik completes the podium in 58’34. The article also mentions a French record for the half marathon for Roudolff-Lévisse in Barcelona in February 2026.

This 48th edition takes place under the colours of the new title partner Harmonie Mutuelle, and brings together 35,000 participants. The course runs from the Pont d’Iéna to the Champ-de-Mars, passing through the Bois de Boulogne and the banks of the Seine, in an atmosphere described as festive throughout the race.

The share of women also rises: 43.8% women among those signed up in person, versus 42% in 2025. The article thus highlights the growth in female participation at this edition of the 20 km of Paris 2026.
