The Perpetua Coast 50k event, held in Yachats (Oregon), hosted the USATF 50k Trail national championships after the August cancellation of the Wy’East Trailfest due to wildfires. Over 31.1 miles on a “lollipop”-shaped course with 5,700 feet of positive elevation gain, Anna Dalton posted 4:29 for the women.

Among the women, the race saw a tightly packed finish behind Dalton: Theresa Fritz-Endres and Jessica Watychowicz finished second and third respectively in 4:55, separated by just 27 seconds. On the men’s side, Dylan Flewelling wins along the coast in 3:50, ahead of Bayden Menton (3:57) and Jack Matherly (4:05).

On California courses, Mount Baldy closed the Cirque Series season: it was the 10th and final round, with a distance of 9.1 miles and 3,926 feet of climbing. The winners received $1,000 and Lucinda Kolpa pulled off a surprise by outpacing the series’ regular, Alexa Aragon, by nearly four minutes, clocking 1:49 for Kolpa.

At the Chihuahua by UTMB, around the Copper Canyon (Chihuahua, Mexico), the routes were billed as “in and around” that area. On the longest distance, Alexa Romano (U.S.) ran 73 miles in 18:11 and Cristofer Clemente (Spain) finished in 13:58. The host country then took over the 57 miles and the 36 miles with winners listed.

Among the wide variety of calendars featured, the Masters Skyrunning World Championships was linked to Pisão Extreme, in São Pedro do Sul (Portugal). The Skyultra 65k was run on a profile announced with 6,500 metres of positive elevation gain. Mirjam Saarheim (Norway) wins in 11:37, while Pedro Garrido (Portugal) takes the men’s race in 10:06.
